Biography - Capt. James Boozer

Captain James Boozer is a US Coast Guard licensed and insured fishing guide.  He is a Florida native, born and raised in the southern Miami area.  Captain Boozer is a family man, with deep rooted family values and often goes fishing with his family.  He also has a long family history of fishing where his maternal grandparents were successful commercial fishermen in the Florida Keys.  He’s possessed a passion for fishing his entire life and has managed to transfer that passion to his family and friends.

For over 30 years, Captain Boozer has fished the areas of Miami, Biscayne Bay, Flamingo and the Upper Keys.  He is a fun and patient person who loves to teach young anglers about the sport of fishing and conservation.  He has a talent to teach kids and novice anglers the different intricacies of this wonderful adventure we call light-tackle fishing, but has the experience and eagle eyes for hard-core anglers as well.  He is a well-rounded charter captain that does practice conservation…so if this is what you are looking for out of a charter captain, give him a call or email; he would like to hear from you.

Captain James Boozer started his fishing passion at the tender age of 8 when he caught a 10 pound Red Fish from the docks in the Everglades.  Needless to say, he was hooked, thus it was then that his love affair with fishing was born.  He credits his mother, father and maternal grandparents with nurturing his passion for fishing.  From his father and maternal grandparents he learned some family secrets to ensuring a bent rod with a pulling fish at the end.  He has continued the family traditions of fishing with love, passion and dedication.  Even on his days off, Captain James Boozer is known to be perfecting his skills and trying new methods and techniques he has developed to pass on to others.
